Quest polymers

In this exhibitor interview, we caught up with Jon Schiff, President at Quest Polymers, to find out more about the products they are exhibiting at the Injection Molding and Design Expo in September and their thoughts on the future development of injection molding.

Quest Polymers is a turn-key, precision injection molding company producing engineering-thermoplastic components and assemblies.  Quest Polymers applies 35+ years of advanced product design & development DNA into every project and production design-intent is their primary focus.

They have extensive capabilities in design, prototype, tooling and technical injection molding to provide the support for their clients’ complex projects from concept to full-scale production.

What do you think sets your company apart from your competitors?

Quest Polymers supports complex, technical projects from the initial concept stage to full-scale production launch. Ultimately resulting in significant cost savings and reduced time-to-market.  Quest Polymers extensive knowledge of materials, advanced product design, and technical manufacturing capabilities provided at one location in Southwest, Michigan, provides our clients the strategic edge over multiple companies providing individual services at many locations.

Are there any new technology developments that your company is working on at the moment?

Quest Polymers is providing the complete production solution for the Western Electric 777 Midrange Speaker Driver assembly.  The manufacturing complexity has been a prohibiting factor in the ability to bring this product to market.  Quest Polymers has made it possible through the correct application of materials, product design - DFA/DFM, advanced 3D Solid CAD, precision injection mold tooling design/build, and significant proprietary tooling capabilities applied along with technical manufacturing solutions to bring this product to market.

What are the biggest challenges facing the injection molding industry today, and how can this be overcome?

Finding and implementing the solution to directly engage with potential clients looking for the turn-key precision injection molding services that Quest Polymers provides. Our goal in exhibiting at the Injection Molding and Design Expo is to directly meet with potential clients and share Quest Polymers’ turn-key injection molding capabilities in an effort to build strategic manufacturing partnerships/relationships in the USA.

How do you see the sector developing in the next five to ten years?

We will have to wait and see, however, Quest Polymers is optimistic about the future of injection molding in the USA.  Directly connecting and engaging with potential clients creates the dynamic dialogue which is the catalyst for new ideas and business opportunities.  Quest Polymers is the company of Limitless Possibilities when it comes to precision injection molded components.

You are exhibiting at the Injection Molding and Design Expo, what are you most looking forward to?

The potential of meeting and engaging with new clients that are interested in building strategic business relationships with USA manufacturing of precision injection molded components and assemblies.
