Industry leaders to discuss the future of molding at free conference

CEOs and presidents of leading molders are discussing the future of the injection molding industry at a free-to-attend panel discussion taking place on September 20, 2023 at the Injection Molding and Design Expo in Novi, MI, USA. The companies represented on the panel are active in the medical, packaging and automotive markets.

One of the industry leaders taking part in the discussion is Mark Gomulka, CEO of Westfall Technik, a fast-growing group of companies with 18 plants across America and Asia offering design, prototyping, tooling, molding and assembly services. The company runs over 300 automated injection molding machines and is particularly strong in healthcare and packaging markets.

He is being joined by Tom Frank, CEO of Radius Packaging, a leading producer of rigid packaging with two manufacturing plants in Wisconsin. Formerly known as Schoeneck Containers, the company has expanded significantly over the past few years and has moved into injection molding as well as blow molding.

Representing the medical sector is Chuck Lee, president of Medbio, a full-service contract manufacturer with plants in Michigan and New York. The company offers engineering, tooling, molding, assembly and packaging services and has particular expertise in silicone, implant and two-shot molding.

Completing the panel is Jeff Ignatowski, president of Champion Plastics, a precision molder producing components for OEMS and Tier 1 suppliers. Located in Auburn Hills, Michigan, the company supplies the automotive, industrial and consumer markets.

The future of molding panel will be chaired by Don Loepp, editorial director at Plastics News. It is one of four business discussions taking place at the Injection Molding and Design Expo on September 20-21, 2023. The others are focused on sustainability, automotive applications and moldmaking.
